Composition per liter:

Yeast extract.................................................................................. 1.0g
Peptone ......................................................................................... 1.0g
Sodium acetate·3H2O.................................................................... 0.5g
MgSO4·7H2O.............................................................................. 0.25g
CaCl2·2H2O ................................................................................ 0.25g
L-Cysteine·HCl·H2O ................................................................... 0.05g
pH 7.5 ± 0.2 at 25°C
Preparation of Medium: Add components to distilled/deionized
water and bring volume to 1.0L. Mix thoroughly. Distribute into tubes
or flasks. Autoclave for 15 min at 15 psi pressure–121°C. Adjust pH to
7.5 with sterile 10M NaOH.
Use: For the cultivation and enumeration of Bdellovibrio species.
