Peptone................................................................5.0g
NaCl....................................................................5.0g
Yeast extract........................................................2.0g
Beef extract powder ............................................1.0g
Potato extract ................................................ 20.0mL
pH 7.4 ± 0.2 at 25°C
Potato Extract:
Composition per liter:
Potatoes.................................................. 300.0g
Preparation of Potato Extract: Peel and dice
potatoes. Add 500.0mL of distilled/deionized water.
Gently heat and bring to boiling. Continue boiling for
30 min. Filter through cheesecloth.
Use: For the cultivation of a wide variety of yeasts
and molds.
