Composition per liter:
Peptone .........................................................................................2.5g
Yeast extract..................................................................................2.5g
FePO4 ............................................................................................0.1g
Filtered, aged seawater ..........................................................750.0mL
pH 7.4–7.6 at 25°C
Preparation of Medium: Add components to distilled/deionized
water and bring volume to 1.0L. Mix thoroughly. Adjust pH to 7.4–7.6.
Distribute into tubes or flasks. Autoclave for 15 min at 15 psi pressure–
121°C.
Use: For the cultivation of Vibrio species.
